WHO needs ways to do WHAT?
Students need better ways to communicate with teachers about mental disorders because I think it will help students be more successful throughout school.
How do we know it's a problem?
-
Ages 12-17: Approximately 3.3 million children suffer from ADHD.
-
Approximately 20% of teens will experience depression before adulthood.
-
Teen depression is also a growing issue and the added pressures of school can be overwhelming

Why is it Important to YOU?
The problem connects to me because I also have anxiety and depression. I think that ADD/ADHD is also something that can be an issue because students with these disorders who are unable to take medication because of parents or they don’t have the money, will most likely fall behind in school if not helped. I care because this affects me directly and I think that students with these issues should be taken into consideration when performing tests or massive projects.
